Seven weeks into running my own practice after over seven years in corporate marketing. The pace has been relentless and I wouldn't trade it.

Rendered Consulting is busy. Several custom website builds in progress for local businesses, and some consulting conversations that could turn into longer engagements. Every site gets inline editing so the client can update their own content without calling me. It's one of those things that sounds simple but changes everything about the relationship.

Rendered Digital keeps growing. Boltkey generates passwords. SetKey transposes YouTube audio for musicians. BOOM? is community sound reporting for Metro East Illinois. I also built Account Rendered to track my own personal business expenses, because the off-the-shelf options did too much and none of it well. Stompkey (a MIDI foot pedal utility) and a standalone metronome app are still on the list.

Started a YouTube channel and have been filming short talking-head videos about marketing, branding, and the occasional drumming metaphor. One of them hit over 800 views in a few hours, which felt like a lot for a channel that's barely a month old. Writing regularly on /notes too.

Still playing drums most Sundays at church. Still up by 3:30 most mornings. Listening to a lot of Josh Garrels in the truck lately.

In and around Collinsville, Illinois.

If you're wondering what this page is, it's a /now page. It's the answer to "so what are you up to these days?" without the small talk.
