It occurred to me recently that this July 15, 2016 show was the last time I went out and saw bands play, and since Fragile Porcelain Mice were on the bill that night, it was also the last time I played live with the band I helped start about 25 years earlier:
Those ten years have gone by in a flash. And even though I haven't been to a show or performed live at a venue since then, I've been blessed to be able to play drums and sometimes bass almost every Sunday of the year at church, plus some special worship events here and there.

Nowadays I drum in an isolation booth, which lets me keep the velocity and dynamics that shape my style without overpowering the room. (Photo by one of the gifted August Gate photographers.)
I'm not sure why I bring it up, except that ten years seemed worth marking.
Thankful for how the Lord has used music to lead me on such a crazy-yet-beautiful path through life, and how He uses it all for His glory and my good.
